These easy, fun and playful learning resources use simple AI terms, an AI questioning rhyme, role play and guessing games to help ECEC children understand basic AI literacy concepts.

These resources are intended as a starting point for educators in ECEC to begin to introduce the complex topic of AI literacy in an age and developmentally appropriate way.

To create these resources I have drawn guidance from the EU Commission and OECD 2025 guidelines ‘Empowering Learners for the Age of AI: An AI Literacy Framework for Primary and Secondary Education’. I have adapted information from these guidelines to suggest activities suitable for early childhood education which educators can use in their ECEC practice with young children.
